The process of Gentrification is ,
- First , a community is impoverished , usually due to some flaw , such as too much concrete or buildings too far apart .
- Second , Artists and Creatives move into the community , attracted by the kind of low rent prices that allow them to purchase art supplies .
- Third , these Artists and Creatives start turning their excess paint and wood into art for the community , usually starting with graffiti .
- Fourth , the Bourgoisie begin descending on the community , attracted by the pretty things everywhere .
- Fifth , the Bourgoisie begin purchasing all the property , then renting it out at cost . As occurred in Toronto after the G20 when rent prices doubled in less than a decade .
- Sixth , the Artists and Creatives who made the place what it was get edged out , and are forced to start over elsewhere with raw concrete .
- Repeat Siné Finé .
This is a process that i have witnessed at least a half-dozen times within a single lifetime . Over and over and over again , despite my shining achievements , i was forced to start over from concrete .
Moreover , understanding this process so thoroughly , it is obvious to me when it is being done to someone else . My spy network has informed me that certain places are becoming hot spots of interest , because of a strong protective framework , wrought hard by many years of defending themselves against much larger adversaries .
If you let the Billionaires in , they will survey, prospect, and invade .
